anyway, i shall officially say that the joy luck club rocks. and im NOT being sacarstic. :D i rented the video the other day and gosh it was sooo good. watching it AFTER a whole year of studying the book beats watching it after reading it just once. (ie, watching it at the end ofsec two) i was practically reciting the lines with them!! :D and i was already tearing right from the beginning. but because i dont do silly things like crying over a movie, i held back, of course. :D but oh my gosh it was so touching, especially at the end when chun yu and chun hwa went "meimei jandale!" yes, corny and cheesy. till corn dropped out off their mouths and cheese glued their teeth together. but still nice. the best part was at the end, when the narrator went, "at long last, her long cherised wish."
yay for JLC!! and amy tan!! i guess i can identify with her much better than william shakespeare. which is why i fell asleep reading macbeth, even though it was quite exciting. :D
