OMG i seriously cannot believe this. TILL NOW. oh gosh oh gosh. ironically, i burst into tears of joy on receiving my o level results because of my lowest grade. no, not because of my L1R5, not because of my very surprising B3 for chem (i've never got more than a C5), not because of my 5A1s and 3A2s. i cried tears of joy because i got C5 for jap!! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING LAHH. AND IT'S NOT SIMPLY A CASE OF 'JUST-PASSED-ON-THE-DOT" it's not a C6 BUT A WHOPPING C6!!! CAN YOU EVEN BELIEVE THIS! I PASSED JAP!! AHHHHHHHAHAHAHHA!!
after emoing for ten million weeks, DDAY, aka o level results day, finally arrived.
ponned school yesterday and went back to ST NICKS for flag raising!! :D gosh, so much has changed since we left. ASSEMBLY IS BEING HELD IN MANDARIN. my gosh. it's not just a once a week thing, but a DAILY thing. KEESIAO. haha and our dear dear vp MRS GOH'S mandarin like, totally improved!! She's SUPER fluent now!! so cool!! :D then most of the red badge 07 batch stood in two specially reserved rows right in front and sang the national anthem, school song, recited the state pledge and school pledge at the top of our voices. and greeted the teachers really loudly too :D then after the rest of the school left for lessons, we were like, 'family dance! family dance!'
so they turned on the music and we did the family dance!! and line dance! AHHHH gosh i seriously miss st nicks! hahaha, the irony is i only actually learnt the school song and pledge AFTER leaving the school, despite singing/reciting them daily for the past four years :DDD
hung around for awhile on the track after that, cheering like mad, for some weird reason. :D AI WO AI WO SHENG NI GE LA *4 :D then started doing class cheers. 'PARMALAT' and 'keep your hands off four truth' :D oh yeah i just realized that we were the very first batch to actually have class cheers and a cohort tee ;D TOTALLY ROCKS lahh :D
hmm, then went off to macs for breakfast, where we gossiped about jc life.. and then we started getting messages from juniors that the school was announcing the o level results statistics. rumours flew about macs, like, how we did super well, earned them 2 days of holiday, total number of distinctions for combined humans and lit doubled.. then finally, aly got a message from BEST FRIEND, saying, "99% distinctions in 15 subjects" we were like, KEESIAO lah. and decided to back to confirm the rumours. HAHA turned out that it was 99% passes and not distinctions. and i was nearly dying in suspense, going like, shit, i bet im the 1%..
went to the staff room and round the school, found something extremely intriguing, but i shall not say so here..
slacked around in the library, slept awhile, took photos.. (i look particularly bitchy in one, haha.)
FINALLY, it was 12.30. trooped into the hall, and faced the agony. they played our grad video. LIKE, SADIST OR WHAT! people dying alr still, 'caritas, share the love that we've been missing inside..' then they prolonged the agony by promoting fiesta and homecoming run (they're trying to break a guiness world record! how cool is that! haha i signed up :D actually only because i wanted the goodie bag. it costs 50 bucks to run 100m) and the 08 student diary. which i bought. SUPER PRETTY LAH. 3 whole pages of new and improved stickers. and im nearly halfway through my first one alr, having given out so many in school today. THEN FINALLY, they started showing us the statistics and stuff. we were just cheering when suddenly, "100% passes for all 3rd languages." Ris and i simply went, WHAT?! what's this, some scam or what?! and then, AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH and we started screaming our heads off like two idiots, shrieking that we actually passed jap!! OMGOMGOMG i still cant believe it!! the both of us got 30++ for prelims can!! and we spend jap lessons sleeping/reading/doing other homework. the weirdest thing was that i did study a bit for prelims, but didnt bother with the Os. gosh. A BIT. RIS AND I PASSED JAP AHHHHHHHHH!! :DDD we're the type who compare who's oral converstaions are more ludicrous, who wrote more chinese words in their jap compos. :D OHGOSHHHHH AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. then they announced honour roll, and FINALLY, it was results time. :D
i simply started screaming my head off when the form teachers came in with the results lahh. and didnt stop till i got my results. aly was just damn calm, covering all the individual subjects and looking at the grades. me? i screamed and screamed as i fumbled to open form A (which contained my L1R5), throwing bits of paper on the floor, shrieking, 'how to open this stupid thing!' and totally ignoring the slip that bore my individual subject grades. haha, when i saw my results, i sighed with relief, calmly telling char and aly, 'i got 7.' called my parents' mobiles, both couldnt get through. then called my home and started screaming into the phone at my mum. when i finally got through the message that i got 7 pts, i proceeded, 'and i ACTUALLY PASSED JAP!' and that point i couldnt take the surprise, and promptly sat on the floor, sobbing and laughing and screaming like some idiot :DDD then my dad called, and i repeated the news slightly more calmly. haha. was about to message friends when yujie called, and i started screaming again :DD oh gosh sorry all of your ear drums haha :DD wrong timing. calmed down after that, and walked around hugging/thanking the teachers :DD
but i still couldnt help bouncing around, grinning idiotically every other minute, telling the world that i passed jap, even when we went hubbing (our tradition! :D AMK hub!) and stuffed ourselves with pepperlunch, filling in the suggestion forms with moo's name and loads of nonsense, and then watched 27 dresses, which was only so-so. :DD cindy actually cried. HAHA. so landiao. (AHHH I'VE NOT USED THIS WORD IN AGES! no one in hwa chong understands 'a bit' and 'landiao' and all the other st nicks colloquialisms!)
oh i do hope i get to stayin hc.. 7 minus 4 seems rather risky.. but still, i'll appeal like siao if i dont get to. :D
